The concept of Crone Stones grew out of the author’s love of mythology and sacred stories, especially those having to do with the Goddess.

The Goddess is recognized as the divine feminine, female principle, the Yin of Asian Yin/Yang, and for lack of any better way to put it, Mother Love.  She represents the nurturer and higher loving self within us, and She is the beauty, power and majesty of the natural world.  Her re-emergence at the dawn of a new millennia notes a shift in a civilization striving to balance female/male energies.  To recognize the divine fem in ourselves, for both men and women alike, is to help us understand our whole selves.  In the greater scheme of things, the Goddess aids humanity in global healing.

It is senseless to try to describe the Goddess in a few short sentences. Besides, you already know Her.  Though much has been done in the last five thousand years to deter you, She shines through in dreams, art, dance, music, food, the senses, love, in our passions and our compassion. The Goddess is not just about living, but about quality of living.  She stands among the grove when you harvest a tree’s fruits.  She is the cheer in the air when you celebrate some great accomplishment.  She is the rain on a sleepy, dreamy day when you just want to curl up in a chair and read, and She is the faith that the rain will come.

Contained within the myths of the Goddess there are seeds of wisdom. Every culture on earth has known her.  When traced back far enough into any cultural identity, you will find Her in its roots. Here’s to your journey towards those roots.
